The topic of angels in the spirituality of practicing Catholics Abstract The aim of the thesis is to investigate what is the impact of new religious movements' concepts on practicing Catholics in Ostrava region, especially focused on angel's topic. The first part of the thesis introduces the Catholic doctrine on angles. In the second chapter new religious movements' view on the angelic beings is introduced. Into consideration mostly written texts by new movements' authors are taken, especially of these with the biggest influence on Czech spiritual sphere. The third part analyses how deeply active Catholics are influenced by new movements' ideas and their angels' concepts. Piano Work of Composers of Ostrava Region Since 1950

The main aim of this thesis covering the topic "Piano Work of Composers of Ostrava Region Since 1950" was to point out the importance of piano work of Ostrava region. I also wanted to make closer certain historical aspects, connections and resulting ways of interpretation the piano work was caused by. I also focused on some outstanding composers, their ways of solving this problem and their results in future evolutionary period of piano work. The main author's target was, above all, a brief summarization of individual ways and opinions on mentioned problem. Thanks to comparison of various compositions, it was easy to point out the great variety of composers' creative attitudes and, especially for non- professional pianists, to provide a better orientation concerning the composition and the decision which of these composers to choose. To fulfill these aims I mainly used historical-comparative methods, I presented individual authors and their works. Author tried to choose their best compositions at the same time. The compositions were studied with the main focus on primary elements - form of composition, possible tonality, degree of usage piano possibilities etc. My intention was to refer to individual differences in creative attitudes of these composers and to match them with the appropriate...

Influence of variable weather on incident solar radiation and its spectral composition in the Ostrava region, Czech Republic

Incident solar radiation is influenced by many factors, including distance from the equator, altitude, time of year, and season. Absorption of radiation and its scattering are connected with the properties of atmospheric compounds. Cloud cover and air pollution are connected with tropospheric properties. Using our data, the influence of weather changes on the dose of solar irradiance reaching the Earth’s surface and its spectral composition are described. Solar radiation components were measured continuously by a system of sensors situated in the Botanical Garden of the University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. Data for 2014 were chosen for analyses. Days were divided into categories of sunny days and cloudy days according to weather conditions and daily radiation patterns. Percent differences in received solar radiation between sunny and cloudy days were calculated for eight months (Jan, Feb, Mar, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, and Dec). Differences in received solar radiation between clean and polluted days were calculated for sunny and cloudy days in December 2014. Mean incident solar radiation during cloudy days was reduced by 61% from the value for sunny days (in summer months) and by 64% from the value for sunny days in winter months. The largest influence of clouds on received solar radiation was during September and the smallest was during June. There was a reduction in incident solar radiation caused by the atmospheric pollutant PM10 during winter months. This reduction amounted to 10% during sunny days and 21% during cloudy days for December 2014. Clouds significantly reduced incident solar radiation as did the air pollutant PM10, but there were probably other factors also contributing to the reduction in incident solar radiation.

Civic forum in Ostrava region

The bachelor thesis deals with the process of forming of the Civic forum after 17th November 1989 on the central level in Prague as well as on the regional level in Ostrava. The aim of the thesis is to cover the differences in the process on both levels and characterize the role of the Civic forums in companies in the Ostrava region. It is an important question if the velvet revolution stood a chance of success in the so called iron heart of the republic, it means in the environment of the heavy industry workers, and if this group of citizens participated in the larger scale in the revolution. The thesis concludes that there were differences especially in the discussed problems on each level, e.g. degree of share in power in the centre versus replacement of local political representatives in the region. Concerning activity of workers in the CF the thesis finds out, that their involvement in company Civic forums reached a significant measure. The second part of the thesis studies to which extent the regional problems were perceived on the central level in Prague. This is examined by the analysis of the central electoral program of the CF in the parliamentary elections of 1990 and its following comparison with documents concerning regional problems of Ostrava and its neighbourhood. This implies that only some of the regional agenda was reflected by the central electoral program, but it did not deal with most of the problems and on the contrary, it carried a risk of new difficulties.

Projekt byl zaměřen na měření polutantů pomocí pasivních samplerů a modelování rozptylu "nových znečišťujících látek" zejména v městských aglomeracích. Podkladové materiály obsahují závěrečné zprávy za jednotlivé dílčí projekty. DP 1 - Vývoj a aplikace nových měřicích metod. DP 2 - Inovace a doplnění souboru modelů pro rozptylové studie dle direktiv EU a zákona, DP 3 - Vývoj a aplikace Eulerovského modelu.

Studium zdravotních důsledků znečištěného ovzduší na Ostravsku s využitím genomiky - AIRGEN

Získání nových poznatků o působení komplexních směsí látek vázaných na prachové částice (k-PAU, toxické kovy) a VOC v ovzduší na lidský organismus. Na různých populacích na Ostravsku (děti, strážníci) byly studovány mechanismy působení těchto látek na lidský genom (genová exprese, genetické polymorfismy). Projekt byl řešen ve třech podprojektech. Zdravotní stav dětí - analýza nemocnosti cca 1800 dětí v 6-7 pediatrických obvodech vybraných dle úrovně znečištění, vztah mezi kvalitou ovzduší a incidencí akutních onemocnění horních a dolních cest dýchacích. Studium vlivu genetické výbavy na astma u dětí - molekulárně epidemiologická studie, která využívá nových poznatků genomiky analyzující vztah mezi diagnozou astma bronchiale a ovlivněním genomu u skupin dětí z nejznečištěnější částí Ostravy-Radvanic a kontrolní skupinou z okresu Prachatice. Analýza podílu PAU na vzniku astma bronchiale u dětí. Vliv znečištěného ovzduší na lidský organismus - molekulárně epidemiologická studie na exponované populaci, kterou představují městští strážníci z Ostravy Poruby, kontrolní skupina operuje v Praze Smíchově. U obou skupin byl analyzován vliv expozice k-PAU na kvalitu spermií. Hlavním přínosem projektu je stanovení vlivu polutantů v ovzduší na změny v genetickém potenciálu.

Je dokladováno úsilí řešitelů projektu zalarmovat politickou reprezentaci i obyvatelstvo regionu ke snaze o nalezení řešení katastrofální situace.
